Brickasso® No. 16
To evolve without becoming someone else.
That is what Albert sees in the Porsche 911. Across more than six decades, its technology, performance and engineering have changed dramatically, yet its identity remains visible almost instantly. The car became interesting to him not simply because it is fast, but because progress has never required it to abandon what it is.
Albert recognizes something of his own creative ambition in that principle. Brickasso® also begins with a language that must remain recognizable while every new work asks for a different solution. The challenge is not to repeat the previous work. It is to keep developing while preserving the idea at the centre.
For BRK-16, the 911 Turbo S became the contemporary expression of that thought: precision without excess, performance shaped by purpose, and a design that carries its history forward rather than leaving it behind.

Story
A shape that learned how to change.
The first 911 established a silhouette and technical idea strong enough to survive generation after generation. Porsche repeatedly redesigned, engineered and improved the car, sometimes radically, while protecting the characteristics that made it recognizable. That continuity became the conceptual spine of Albert’s work.
Inside the composition, a 550 Spyder reaches further back into Porsche’s racing origins, while the 911 type 964 represents another kind of transformation: a generation extensively modernised beneath a shape that still belonged unmistakably to the 911 family. These cars are not included simply as historical references. They mark different answers to the same question of how performance, engineering and identity evolve together.
Hidden Narrative
History appears only when the viewer comes closer.
From a distance, the contemporary 911 dominates. At close range, the timeline opens. Earlier cars, mechanical ideas, movement and references to Porsche culture begin to interrupt the main image, allowing different decades to occupy the same surface.
Among them is a reference to Porsche Center Cluj, connecting a global automotive history with Albert’s own city and with Porsche’s newest chapter in Transylvania. It gives the narrative a present location. The work can look backward across Porsche history while remaining anchored in the place and moment in which Albert created it.
Artistic Significance
Progress with a memory.
What Albert takes from the 911 is not a lesson about cars alone. It is the idea that a strong identity does not have to remain static. BRK-16 becomes a reflection on continuity: respecting what made something recognizable, pushing it forward, and making the next version unmistakably part of the same story.
