Afghan Girl – LEGO® 3D Mosaic
I built “Afghan Girl” as a reflection on courage, resilience, and the silent dignity of childhood. The portrait speaks about being between two worlds, fragility and strength, fear and hope. Reinterpreting Steve McCurry’s photograph, I aimed to translate its humanity into a physical form of structure and light.
Each brick carries emotion as weight and memory as matter. The composition redefines how a portrait can exist today: not printed, but constructed; not imitated, but reborn. “Afghan Girl” stands as a personal dialogue about empathy and identity across materials and time.
